What do they cost?

David charges £25ph excluding materials and travel with a minimum charge of £45.

On average this works out at around £10-£15 per chalkboard, but this will be pushed up for boards with artwork, logos or lots of text. Full Menu boards will be significantly more expensive due to all the text and planning out.

Preparation

David always uses permanent pens on chalkboards for longevity. When your boards need updating again, they're painted out with fresh black paint. David can paint out your old boards upon arrival, or you can paint them ready for him.

If you to prefer to prepare them yourself David recommends using two coats of black masonry paint with a 4" fluffy roller. It's a lot cheaper than chalkboard paint, dries fast and is much smoother to write on than emulsion. When you're done you can store the roller in the paint ready for next time.
